  • 1 lb sliced ribeye steak
  • 8 oz provolone cheese, shredded
  • 8 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 cup bell peppers (red and green), diced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 4 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Sauté the diced onion and bell peppers until translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the sliced steak to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper; cook until browned, approximately 4-5 minutes.
  4. Layer half of the sourdough bread in the prepared dish. Top with half of the provolone cheese, followed by the steak mixture.
  5. Add the remaining bread slices on top, followed by another layer of provolone cheese. Drizzle melted butter over the top.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
