  • 1 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
  • 8 oz (225g) dark chocolate (60% cocoa or higher)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk (or almond milk)
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat until smooth.
  3. Thaw and shred the kunafa dough into fine strands.
  4. Combine melted butter with the kunafa in a large bowl until evenly coated.
  5. Grease a baking dish and press half of the kunafa mixture into the bottom.
