  • 1/2 cup salted butter

  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 sweet onions, halved
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Rinse the turkey under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Rub salt and pepper all over the turkey. Stuff fresh herbs and halved onions inside the cavity.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and mix with maple syrup, soy sauce, cider vinegar, garlic, and herbs until combined.
  4. Place the turkey in a roasting pan breast-side up. Baste generously with half of the glaze.
  5. Roast for approximately 3 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), basting every 30 minutes.
  6. Let the turkey rest for at least 20-30 minutes before carving.
