  • ½ cup pumpkin puree

  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by mixing warm milk and yeast in a bowl; let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, chai spices, and salt. Add the activated yeast mixture along with softened butter and pumpkin puree; mix until combined.
  3. Knead dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread softened butter over it. Sprinkle brown sugar mixed with chai spices on top.
  6. Roll tightly into a log shape and cut into 8 equal pieces. Place them in a greased baking dish and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for approximately 25 minutes until golden brown.
