  • 8 oz spaghetti

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté the diced onions and minced garlic until softened.
  2. Add lean ground beef to the pot, cooking until browned. Break it apart as it cooks.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, cocoa powder, cinnamon, chili powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Reduce heat to low, cover the pot, and let simmer for 30–45 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  5. While simmering, cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
