Instructions

  2. In a large bowl, combine warm water and honey/sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit until foamy (about 5 minutes).
  3. Gradually mix in flour, salt, and chopped herbs until a shaggy dough forms.
  4. Knead dough on a floured surface for about 8–10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm area until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  6. Punch down the risen dough, shape into a round loaf, place in the greased pan, cover again, and let rise until puffy (30–45 minutes).
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
