  2. Add the sourdough starter and room temperature water into the well. Mix until it forms a dough.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 4-6 hours until doubled in size.
  5. Gently deflate the dough on a floured surface and shape it into a round loaf.
  6. Place it on parchment paper to rise for another hour while preheating your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  7. Score the top of the loaf and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped.
