  • 14 oz canned diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about one minute.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes with their juices and let simmer for five minutes.
  4. Reduce heat to low and add heavy cream, stirring continuously. Season with basil, oregano, salt, pepper, and half of the Parmesan cheese; let bubble gently.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce in the skillet, adding reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency.
